Over the years, Ted has received several awards for his work.
They include the

• “Best Traditional Landscape” at the 2007 Royal Easter Show.

• 2007 Peoples Choice at the Cowra Festival.

• Traditional Award at Dubbo 20th Biannual Exhibition in 2006

• People’s Choice at the Cowra Art Awards 2002

• People’s Choice at the 2001 Sydney Royal Easter Show

• Henry Lawson Contemporary Award in Grenfell in 2001

• Henry Lawson Art Award in Grenfell 2000

• People’s Choice at the 1998 Stanthorpe Art Purchase

Ted’s gallery is located in Orange NSW and he exhibits at The Wentworth in Sydney as well as other galleries in Canberra, Canowindra, Cowra and many others.

Ted has a great love of the Australian bush and takes his paints with him wherever he goes. He tries to capture the light and vibrancy of the ever-changing landscapes. Landscapes that range from the colorful beaches to the brilliant reds and blues of Central Australia – the subjects are endless.

In many of his works, Ted likes to experiment with color to produce a more contemporary landscape, particularly in acrylics, while using oil to produce subtle changes in light and atmosphere.

Exhibiting in addition to Ted Lewis will be many of our great artists from Sydney and our own region who have been exhibiting at Portland for many years.
